Walkable Communities Workshops offered
Want to find out how to make your community more walkable? How about simply more accessible to residents and visitors? Central Delaware municipalities can sponsor a Walkable Communities Workshop with the Dover/Kent County MPO. The workshops provide information on what makes a community walkable and what sidewalks and bike paths offer a community. Attendees then take a stroll around the neighborhood. Join the PAC!

The Dover/Kent County MPO is looking for enthusiastic people who are interested in joining its Public Advisory Committee. PAC members are citizen volunteers who help link the MPO with the public in transportation matters and make sure people are aware of the organization's transportation plans and programs. Potential members must reside within the MPO's jurisdiction, which includes all of Kent County, Smyrna and Milford. For more information, contact the MPO at (302) 387-6026 or (302) 387-6030. If you want to see the PAC in action, the public is always welcome to attend its bi-monthly meetings. The next PAC meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 24 at the Delaware State University Outreach and Research Center on Smyrna-Leipsic Rd.

The following is the meeting calendar for the Dover/Kent County MPO's Technical Advisory
Committee (TAC), Public Advisory (PAC), and MPO Council. Dates are occasionally subject to
change. Council and TAC meetings are held at Camden Town Hall council chambers. PAC meeting
locations rotate between the north, central and southern areas of Kent County. Locations are
posted with agendas.
