Public input is vital to the discussion and completion of transportation issues and projects throughout our region. The MPO is mandated by Congress to have and follow a Public Participation Policy. The agency is currently in the final stages of updating this policy and is obliged to provide as many avenues as possible for public review of it. 

By law, a 45-day public comment period commences after approval of the document by the MPO’s Council. In this case the comment period began on Friday, November 15, 2002, and ends on Wednesday, January 22, 2003. Copies of the Public Participation Policy are also available for review at libraries throughout Kent County.
